pvp war is all damage, tanking in pvp is just asking to die. the only reason taking works in pve (at my perspective) is because the little monsters will keep hitting you aslong as you are alive. you grab aggro, and just let your team finish them. PvP is against real players (obviously) and they (for the most part) have higher intellegence then the mosters. I dont reccomend W/Mo for any build unless your running. A full damage warrior will do just fine in pve, though many groups ask for a tank.

tanks anywhere is inefficient, you'll have more fun with a damaging warrior anyway.
Warrior monks have a few advantages where they can control the hexes and conditions put on them to an extent however, the DPS output suffers as a result.
PvE is very different to PvP, PvE the general pressure is lower, but you get much larger mobs, however PvP players will target you selectively ie. when you are hurting. Its two very different aspects of the game.
Explore, learn, undertanding will come naturally.

Welcome to the forums, and congradulations on taking the first step out of noobhood.
The vast majority of Warriors in PVE are tanks (common skills: dolyak signet, watch yourself, shields up, gladiators defense, shield stance) and make excellent solo-farmers, or just plain solo'ers.
PVP is alot more subtle, and youll soon start to learn the different types of Warriors. Some run pressure (getting on someone and not letting up until you have to, going DPS and letting your teammates spike), others can deliver some pretty nasty spikes themselves (hammers just deal silly amounts of damage). Deep Wound is core to most every spike, as it reduces the targets max hp by 20%, and reduces all healing against them by 20%.
So yeah, dont tank in PVP, and dont use Frenzy in PVE.
W/Mo is a fine choice, doubly so for PVE. My Warrior has a couple million xp and prefers w/mo over most of his alternatives. Just make sure that you dont fall into the normal pitfalls (dont try to use healing prayers - your not a monk).

I agree with the tips you give but you also have to understand that a tank build might actually be a good thing in some cases depending on the other people that you are playing with. It is nice to be able to cover your own back and not always rely on a healer, but you have to set your skills and att's right. Be ready to play around with many different builds. I say this because i hate to see so many players switching to IWAY build because they are either too lazy to come up with a good one on their own or to simply too dumb attempt to get as many skills as possible to have so that variety would be an option to them!
